LeadClient is a trading name of IT Genetics Ltd (registered in England & Wales, company no. 07579763). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@leadclient.co.uk or on 01223 65 06 15.
In plain English: we collect what we need to answer your enquiry and run our service, we never sell your details, and every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link that works.
1. What we collect
- Enquiry details — when you fill in a form on this site or one of the local trade websites we operate: your name, phone number, email, the trade or work involved, your area, and your message.
- Calls — calls to or from our phone numbers are answered or made by our AI assistant and are recorded and transcribed. You are told this on the call. We keep recordings for quality assurance, resolving disputes (for example checking whether an enquiry was genuine) and fraud prevention.
- Text messages — SMS conversations with our numbers, including replies like “call me” or STOP.
- Customer account details — if you become a LeadClient customer: your business details, the sites and towns on your Order, and billing status. Payments are handled by GoCardless (Direct Debit) and Stripe (cards); we never see or store your full card details.
- Technical data — IP address and basic device information when you use our forms, used for security and spam prevention.
2. Enquiries made through our customers' websites
We build and operate local trade websites and phone lines on behalf of trade businesses. If you enquire through one of those sites or numbers, we process your details in order to qualify your enquiry and deliver it to that trade business — and to no one else. Once delivered, that business handles your information as a controller in its own right for the purpose of responding to you. Your enquiry is never sold or shared with multiple firms.
3. How we use your information

4. Who we share it with
Only what is needed, with providers who help us run the service: our hosting providers, Cloudflare (security and form protection), Twilio (calls and SMS), speech and AI processing providers (for transcription and the AI assistant), our email delivery provider, and GoCardless/Stripe for payments. If your enquiry was for a trade business, we share it with that business. We do not sell personal data, and one enquiry is only ever delivered to one business.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK (for example in the United States). Where they do, transfers are protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
6. How long we keep things
- Enquiries and prospect records — for as long as your enquiry is live, then for follow-up until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop, or after roughly 24 months of no contact.
- Call recordings — normally up to 12 months, longer only where needed for an active dispute.
- Customer lead data — for the life of the customer's account and 30 days after it ends (customers can export their leads in that window).
- Billing records — as required by UK tax law (normally 6 years).
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email hello@leadclient.co.uk — we respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
8. Cookies
This site currently uses strictly necessary cookies only:
- Cloudflare Turnstile — protects our forms from bots and spam. It may set security cookies while verifying you're human. These are essential for the site to work safely and don't track you across other sites.
We may also use analytics and ad-measurement cookies (Google Analytics and Google Ads) — but only if you agree. Where these are in use you'll see a banner asking first, and nothing optional is set unless you accept. You can change your cookie choice at any time.
